Good for audiences of all levels of experience and styles of quilting. This is Colleen's favorite lecture. It's also a great presentation for a quilt show banquet.

Every quilt has a back. Hear about all things relating to the back. Durability as well as creativity is discussed. Optional value added features of labels and hangers are included. Colleen presented this lecture in Raleigh, North Carolina at QuiltCon 2024 by the Modern Quilt Guild.

Which category do you choose when completing the entry? Why are some shows juried? What happens when you drop off your quilt? Hear a judge’s perspective on the judging process.

Do you have a quilting topic you’d like to hear about? With advanced notice, preparations can be made. Keep in mind that topics of wide appeal will sell more lecture tickets. Also, more live lectures will be converted to the Zoom roster in 2025.

Colleen is a pharmacist and has presented lectures professionally. She’s given credentialled medical education to physicians, pharmacists, and nurses. She has also presented lectures at numerous quilting events.
Colleen’s goal for presentations is to offer topics that appeal to a wide audience.
Zoom lectures are a great resource to guild meeting education. They are 45-50 minutes in length with time for questions.
Collleen’s Zoom fee is $400.
Lectures are a great group event for shows. Lectures eliminate the need for classroom set-up, supply lists, and UFOs. Attendees return to the show floor refreshed to visit the vendors!
Flanders 2023
Improv log cabin blocks on a gradient background. Machine pieced and quilted on a domestic machine. It was a Viewer’s Choice winner.
This quilt was made to honor my father’s military service in Europe during WWII. It is a part of the Accept the Challenge lecture.
Flanders was accepted for the Abstract category for the International Quilt Festival in Houston 2024.
