Colleen Carlson
As a quilt judge, Colleen’s goals are to identify excellence in quilt entries and to provide meaningful feedback to all entrants. Positively phrased design and technical feedback for quilters of all abilities provide a high-quality experience for the entrants. From traditional and contemporary quilts to modern and art quilts, Colleen offers a wealth of knowledge to the shows that she judges. Great design and superb workmanship can be found in all quilt styles.

Drawing from her 39-year career as a pharmacist, Colleen brings professionalism, organization, and clear communication to the judging room. She has served as a volunteer for the judging room at regional shows for the past twenty years and has been judging for three years. Colleen has extensive knowledge of art history, design, and traditional quilt construction. g. She reaches for meaning and understanding in both modern quilts and art quilts and appreciates workmanship decisions that support the message of the artist.
