Colleen Carlson
Colleen has been sewing since childhood and quilting since 1999 and enjoys quilts of all styles. She has studied art at her local university and enjoys creating original compositions. Drawing from her 40-year career as a pharmacist, Colleen brings professionalism, organization, and clear communication to quilt show judging, jurying, and to Zoom Lectures for guilds and organizations.

Agua Viva translates from Spanish and Portuguese to “living water” and is their term for jellyfish. The current trend is call them jellies as they are not fish. I interpretted a descriptive phrase, “jewels of the sea” when creating the tentacles and added twisted yarn for the oral arms.
Honoring Einar
My maternal grandfather, Einar J Myrdal served as an airplane mechanic in an Aero Supply Squadron in France for the United States Army. The style of the piece was based on the simplicity of the low resolution Army photo.
